The methodology for validation of cross sections in quasi monoenergetic neutron field

Dosimetry cross sections are fundamental quantities for proper determination of the neutron fluences in points interest under heavy radiation load. One critical applications is Reactor Pressure Vessel aging management, related to correct estimation its residual lifetime or many non-reactor including dosimetry accelerator-based fields space applications. The flux neutrons above 12 MeV reference fission spectra below 1%. Therefore, new with average energy 5 should be developed validation up 60 MeV. This paper presents testing a methodology use quasi monoenergetic fields, where different sensitivity allows validations section at energies much higher than around 2 typical spectra. exact shape spectrum tested measured by stilbene spectrometry. total determined from Ni and Al monitors. was applied selected reactions IRDFF-II library showing satisfactory agreement.
